At this time, no archival information has been found to guide one through the images from the glass negative collection of the Vermont Marble Company beyond where they used the images in their various marketing materials and Gale’s 1922 book, Proctor: A Marble Town. Perhaps now that the University of Pennsylvania and the Vermont Marble Museum are organizing the archives of VMC, more information will come to light.
Who is the young man with the ripped apron? How do we find out more about him? Perhaps we will never confidently know.
